The California Poppies and Clovers are in bloom. The Wisteria, Roses and many other many other plants are budding to provide a spectacular show. Did you know that most Dinosaurs never saw a single flower? It wasn’t until the Cretaceous Period that flowering Trees & Plants evolved. That’s over 105 Million Years after the first Dinosaurs walked the Earth! Can you image the Earth without Flowers? Until then it was Conifers, Cycads and more primitive plants that provided food for the Giant Sauropods and Stegosaurs. I hope these trees & plants had colorful leaves. Flowering plants were more nutritious and quickly munched on by the Hadrosaurs, Ceratopsians and Pachycephalosaurs.
The warmer weather Spring brings allows for getting back to projects that were put on hold during the Winter. The Wizard Staff holders are now finished. Adding Hammered Black & Brown details completed the look of tree bases. I placed more gravel around the tubes to improve drainage. There is room for more Wizard Staffs to insert in some of the tubes or tie to the existing bundles. The Dinosaur Pots will be next. Painting Tall Grasses around the Coelophysis will add depth and finish them for planting. Stay tuned!
It’s also time for Spring Cleaning! The Dinosaurs are helping. Spenser AKA Spike the Spinosaurus is hard at work clearing the brush and the baby brontosaurs – Libby, Arlo & Kristen are looking forward munching on the trimmings. Alejandro sweeps the driveway, Jerry & Jeffrey shake out the rugs while Spike sweeps up a mess in the background and Dominic helps with the vacuuming.

I used watercolors to make Dinosaur Designs on my N95 Masks. I couldn’t get a yes or no from 3M regarding any impact this might have to the effectiveness of the mask. Many Museums sell Dinosaur Themed Masks Check them Out!
