Interview with a Dinosaur!

Posted on November 13, 2020January 6, 2021

It’s a Beautiful Day at the Park and a Great Time for an Outdoor chat with Marc the Triceratops.  Marc plays Sean in the next book “The Shy Triceratops” by me, Paul F. Heinzman.

Me:  Well, Marc this is the Famous Tree Sean likes to hide behind.

Marc:  Yes, but Sean also took refuge behind the Cedar Deodar on the other side of the Park.

Me:  That’s Right.  Marc tell us about Yourself – where you’re from, favorite things, etc.

Marc:  My ancestors were born in the Late Cretaceous Period in Western North America an area known today as the Hell Creek Formation.  The World of the late Cretaceous was Hot, Wet and Exploding with newly evolved Flowering Plants, which we love to snack.  Triceratops are part of a greater family of Ceratopsians.  We have three horns but the number of horns, shape and size of our skull frills vary dramatically among our cousins.  There are over 80 distinct groups in our family.

Me:  That’s very interesting and What a Big Family!

Marc:  My ancestors traveled in large herds.  Which is probably why I enjoy Soccer, Dino-bee Tossing and Snowboarding.  I like activities in large open spaces.  I coach a soccer team on weekends too.

Me:  Again, Interesting.  Sounds like you have a busy schedule.  I also enjoy Tossing the Dino-bee and Soccer.  I’ll have to try Snowboarding.  It looks Fun.

Marc:  It is, but it can be difficult find a board wide enough for those of us that travel on Four Feet!

Paul:  Ha, Ha, Ha, Yes I suppose that’s true.

Me:  Marc you’re clearly very different than Sean “The Shy Triceratops”!

Marc:  Yes, I’m pretty outgoing.  Playing Sean gave me an opportunity to try something new.

Me:  Well, that’s it for todays Interview.  Thanks for taking time out for our chat Marc.

Marc:  My pleasure looking forward to the book release.

Stay Tuned for More Dinosaur Fun!
