Stuart & “Dino Fest”

Posted on September 13, 2019September 13, 2019

After Stuart had lived with his new paint design for a while, we decided to expand it on his sides. More Purple Gloss then more Deep Blue. The overspray on his head was corrected covering the misplaced Berry Pink. Another coat of Maui Blue on the Eyes. Now we’re ready for more details.

The Brontosaurus has 5 nails/claws on each foot. The inner one being the largest. Stuart’s Artist gave him only 3. No worries, a little paint made the 3 into 5. Hammered Grey provided a nice outline for each nail/claw with Stone Grey filling in the space. Gloss Black made the Pupils of the Eyes. As discussed previously (post 8-4-2019 “Dinosaur Eyes are Watching You!”), the size & shape of the pupils make for a friendly or scary Dinosaur. Larger circular pupils make a Dinosaur look more friendly, that’s Stuart! After I’m sure we won’t be making any more changes, Stuart will receive a Clear Coating.

“Dino Fest Weekend” will soon be here!

September 21st & 22nd is “Dino Fest Weekend” at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles. “Angie” the Augustynolophus & I will in the Garden Area. This is Our 3rd year participating in this Event. Angie is always excited about getting some new Splashes of Color from the Kids & Parents sponge painting her. I’m creating Dinosaur shapes out of compressed sponges for everyone to use on Angie. Please stop by our tent for some Fun. To see fossils of an Augustynolophus, check out the second level in Dinosaur Hall.  Below Angie at Last Years “Dino Fest”.
