Recently a couple of Dinosaur Puzzle and Picture Books were brought to my attention.  The youngest Dinosaur enthusiasts will enjoy these Books from Highlights.  Coloring, finding hidden objects, even Write-On Wipe Off crafts are included in these books.  For those looking for a more serious read:  The DK Smithsonian book is a great resource for…

Posted on February 13, 2022

What does Valentine’s Day mean to You?  Valentine’s Day is celebrated with Flowers, Candy, Cards, Romantic Dinners and sometimes marriage proposals.  When I was in Elementary School, we exchanged Valentine’s Day Cards with friends and those that we hoped would become special friends. A Shield like a Peacock

Posted on February 5, 2022February 5, 2022

As previously mentioned, the inspiration for the Triceratops makeover is the Peacock.  Their Shields provide the perfect canvas to explore this concept.  The size of Teresa’s Shield vs. Paul’s & Christopher’s allows for more opportunities to continue the male & female design differences as they are in birds.  The light violet “Magic Wand” Behr’s Marquee…

Starting the New Year Bright

Posted on January 8, 2022January 8, 2022

The Triceratops were in desperate need of a makeover.  Teresa had never been finished and Paul’s & Christopher’s paint designs were completed in 2016.  After some consulting with the Paint Specialist at the Local Home Improvement Center, I’m using brush on materials.  Zinsser Cover Stain Primer which they tinted to match The Magic Wand Semi-Gloss…
